Hello. My name is Elmer Smith. I am a client-focused and detail-oriented all around Process Engineer and Manager, with two tool sets – Chemical Engineering and Information Technology. I have a proven track record as a Senior Applications Analyst, Project Manager, Senior Process Engineer, Senior Process Control Engineer, Research Engineer, and Project Engineer. Demonstrated skills include the use of engineering principles, managing and executing projects, leading cross functional teams, resolving problems, data modeling, performing analyses, and providing resources for many different business functions, including manufacturing and R&D, populated by internationally diverse and multi-level personnel.

I'm originally from Cleveland Ohio, but I have lived in Rochester New York longer than everywhere else put together, and it is now my home. I have a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and a New York State license to practice professional engineering. Most of my career to date has focused on helping companies to optimize their chemical and business processes. Most recently, I was in an assignment in the Corporate IT department at Genencor International, a 410 million dollar per year manufacturer of industrial enzymes and other biochemicals. The company eliminated my position as part of a corporate restructuring. What I'm looking to do next is use my skills and experience to work with processes and projects, and the information and people associated with them.
